HEALTH, HEALING, & JOY

ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE

Everyone deserves to live a life that centers health, healing, & joy. Power to the Peaceful understands and acknowledges that people - like us - who identify as a part of one or more minoritized communities, often lack access to resources that help cultivate these things, and when we do have access, it is rarely with people or in spaces that reflect our identities or experiences. The Collective’s mission is to help people cultivate health, healing, and joy in their lives by making resources, such as mindfulness and meditation, embodiment and yoga, and different forms of therapy accessible and protected.

OUR VALUES

Mindfulness

An awareness of the present moment without judging it as good or bad, without trying to hold onto it or ignore it, or without wishing it was different.

embodiment

The exploration of the relationship between our physical bodies, our felt sense of self, and our energy. Honoring the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

liberation

An individual and collective practice of mind and body to reduce attachments and suffering through critical awareness of and action and reflection on systemic privilege, power, and oppression.

In addition to mindfulness practices, Dana uses a combination of meditation techniques, embodiment practices, Qigong, and yoga to support peoples’ journey to cultivating a more peaceful existence.

Dana identifies as non-binary and queer and specializes in working with trans, non-binary, and queer individuals to help dismantle gender dysphoria and internalized oppression, develop a stronger sense of self, and nurture lovingkindness towards their bodies and being.

The Power to the Peaceful Collective is made up of collaborators from around the globe who specialize in offering different opportunities for accessing health, healing, and joy. Our collaborators include artists, yogis, meditation/mindfulness teachers, therapists, healers, scholars, medical practitioners, and more.

“When I first reached out to Dana, I didn’t really know what I needed. Dana’s gentle way during our consultation helped me to get a clearer vision, and all my sessions after that were full of fun and enlightenment. Every step of the way, Dana knew how to guide me, push me, and hold me, and I have so much gratitude for how they shaped my life path.”

“The Power to the Peaceful Collective is such and empowering and liberating group of the best people in the area. I was blown away by how quickly a strong community was built during a one-day workshop! And I still meet up with the people in my group on a monthly basis!”

-Arya, weekend retreat go-er

“I have never experienced such a transformational event in my life. Being in Dana’s presence is purely magical - they are curious, fun, joyful, playful, and such a calming force - and they brought those things out in me and everyone in the space we shared. PURE JOY.”

-Jessica, workshop participant

“As a trans and queer person, it is hard to find a wellness coach who truly understands the complex nuances of the every day. With deep compassion, mindful listening, and non-judgment, Dana truly meets people where they are and helps them become the best version of themselves. I am living -AND THRIVING - proof of their goodness.”
